Kristin Waner is a birth photographer who has documented something truly special and she shared it with the whole world. The main protagonist in this story is a dog, Corgi named Ranger who helped to deliver a human baby. Brooke, the doula who helps other moms giving birth was on that day the pregnant lady herself. She had her husband and her own doula by her side and of course sweet Ranger the dog. Photographer speaks about entering their home and meeting little Ranger: “He quickly came in to greet me, then headed right back to the bedroom to be with Brooke as she labored.” As Brooke’s contractions started Ranger was there as a calming presence. “Every once in a while he would jump on the bed to give her a reassuring kiss to let her know she could do this. It was a beautiful thing to watch – the bond between mom and baby and man’s best friend.” When Brooke was moved to the birthing tub, Ranger moved also to the couch where he watched over to make sure his mom was okay. He would give her a kiss and again step away back to his couch. Then everyone screamed in delight as a little girl came to this world. “Through all the commotion, little Ranger jumped up and ran right over to meet his new (and only) little sister. He loved her. He watched every moment from her getting weighed to her first outfit changed.” Feedback for Waner’s photographs and her story is amazing and mature. “People were seeing the beauty of birth and accepting it as nothing but heartwarming.” Click here Kristin Waner’s Facebook and official page.
